Team Leader - Food Production (Back Shift)

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00

Pay Rate:£13.97

Overtime Rate:£16.55

GI Group is recruiting for experienced Team Leaders on behalf of one of Bolton's leading food manufacturing companies. Due to continued expansion, there are immediate vacancies, with a strong opportunity to secure a permanent contract.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a production team on the back shift, ensuring targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate a production team to achieve shift targets
Ensure a safe working environment, taking action on any hazards or risks
Maintain food safety, quality, hygiene and housekeeping standards at all times
Monitor performance, minimise downtime, optimise changeovers and reduce waste
Manage staffing, breaks and task allocation across the shift
Support training, coaching and development of team members
Assist with cost control through accurate reporting and efficient use of materialsSkills & Experience

Proven experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor in food production or similar fast-paced manufacturing
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Confident in training, developing and engaging team members
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Able to work with minimal supervision and make sound decisions
PC literate (MS Office essential; SAP desirable)
Flexible and adaptable to meet production demandsWhat's on Offer
