Looking to take the next step in your technical career within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment?
This role offers hands-on experience across food safety, quality, and compliance, giving you exposure to every part of the technical function while supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality products.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Monitoring compliance with food safety legislation, quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards and procedures.
• Promoting high standards of GMP, hygiene, and quality across site.
• Managing the microbiology testing schedule, including product sampling and environmental swabbing.
• Conducting internal audits (GMP, hygiene, glass & plastic).
• Investigating customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Completing CCP verification checks and supporting HACCP maintenance.
• Providing technical support to production teams.
• Carrying out routine QA/technical tasks.
• Completing and reviewing product specifications.
• Managing supplier approval data and monitoring supplier performance.
• Supporting audit preparation, including BRCGS readiness activities.
What’s required?
Essential:
• Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Food Safety Level 2.
• HACCP Level 2.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes.
• Confident communicator at all levels.
• Awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
Desirable:
• Experience with food manufacturing software or quality tools.
• Around 2 years’ food industry experience, ideally manufacturing.
