We are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Integration Engineer to join a leading automotive organisation on a contract basis in Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development and integration of new and existing vehicle architectures within a highly innovative environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Vehicle Integration Engineer, you will be at the heart of vehicle development, driving the integration of cutting‑edge technologies into new and existing platforms. Acting as the voice of the customer, you'll lead functional and attribute target delivery, providing technical arbitration where required to ensure robust, efficient vehicle solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the technical arbitrator for whole‑vehicle integration, ensuring compatibility with GRID, commodity/system strategies and functional targets
Support vehicle functional integration to reduce complexity and deliver optimal technical solutions
Work closely with the Vehicle Attribute Robustness team to embed design quality, service and manufacturing requirements
Drive vehicle technical data progression (CAD, DV, AIMS, build, test and release activities)
Oversee alignment and delivery of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) through virtual and physical verification and validation
Lead cross‑group issue resolution and escalate where necessary to the Vehicle Integration Manager
Support study work and Agile spike activities to solve complex engineering challenges
Essential Skills & Experience:
Automotive technical knowledge and experience of complex interactions, including technical analysis and decision-making
Demonstrated understanding automotive technology with a level of technical depth into vehicle, system and component design, development and delivery, ability to interrogate and ratify incoming technical standards, system and component assumptions.
Excellent written and verbal technical communication, influencing and negotiation skills
Experience in leading teams of people to solve complex technical issues using a structured approach e.g 8D and/or Six Sigma
Project Management experience of delivery against a complex set of Programme technical deliverables
An individual with a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with and makes people feel special, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent and dependable
Progressive thinking individual who takes a keen interest in new ideas and key industry developments
