BMS Technology Manager

Data Centre Sector | Client-Side Role

Madrid, Spain

We're looking for a forward-thinking Technology Manager to lead the development of Building Management and Automation Systems (BMS/BAS/ICN) across a global data centre portfolio.

This is a strategic, high-impact role where you'll shape how building technologies are designed, integrated, and operated across multiple international sites. You won't just deliver systems-you'll help define the future of smart, resilient, and data-driven facilities supporting large-scale cloud

and AI infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

Own and develop the global roadmap for BMS/BAS and monitoring systems
Assess new technologies and turn them into practical strategies
Define global standards, architectures, and best practices
Lead vendor selection, benchmarking, and lifecycle cost analysis
Drive integration between operational technology (OT) and IT systems
Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure systems are secure and resilient
Produce clear strategy documents and technical guidance for senior stakeholders 

What We're Looking For

Strong experience with BMS/BAS, controls, or operational technology
Proven ability to shape technology strategy, standards, or system architecture
Familiarity with platforms like DCIM, CMMS, or digital twins
Able to balance hands-on technical knowledge with strategic thinking
Confident communicator who can influence stakeholders globally
Experience working with vendors, OEMs, or product-based environments is a plus
