Trainee Accounts Assistant
  Pontypool

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

£25,466 + Excellent Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a friendly, supportive company in Pontypool who will make you feel part of the team from day one. No prior accounts experience is required — all they ask is that you’re keen to learn and have a good sense of humour. Full training will be provided.

Main Duties 

Check voicemail messages

Monitor bank accounts for incoming payments

Take card payments from clients, including over the telephone

Process cheque and cash payments and issue receipts

Scan and save cheques to OMS

Input cheque requests

Write and distribute cheques

Post and transfer bills

Post and enter BACS/CHAPS payments into Barclays

Print transfers and input into Barclays

Check family bills and place them in the Directors’ signing folder

Handle incoming CHAPS/BACS payments

Create account slips

Banking duties

Pay invoices

Retrieve deeds

Close files

Request files from the Cabinet Office & The Maltings

Print and file end-of-day reports

Process end-of-day on card machine

Post and pay travel expenses

Reconcile petty cash

Skills Required
