Transport Planner – Coach Fleet (Mon–Fri, Days)
Location: Hull
Salary: £50,000 per annum + benefits
Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for a new challenge in a busy, dynamic environment? Our client is seeking a skilled and organised Planner to oversee driver allocation and scheduling for a large coach fleet of 100 vehicles, based in Hull.
About the Role
This is a key operational position responsible for ensuring that daily journeys run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations. Working Monday to Friday (days), with the flexibility to support on occasional Saturday mornings, you’ll be at the heart of a well-established transport operation.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and allocate drivers to coach journeys across a 100-vehicle fleet.
Ensure full compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and working time regulations.
Coordinate with operations, traffic, and maintenance teams to optimise fleet performance.
Monitor schedules and proactively resolve any resource or route conflicts.
Maintain accurate planning records and support day-to-day operational reporting.
About You
Proven experience in transport planning or driver allocation within a large fleet environment.
Strong understanding of driver hours legislation and transport compliance.
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient with transport management or scheduling systems.
A proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
