Vehicle Technician – Experienced / Diagnostic Level
£40,000 – £50,000 Basic Salary
Monday to Friday | 7:00 – 17:00 | No Weekends

Shalford Area

We’re recruiting for a well-established independent garage with a genuinely “old school” approach — focused on quality work, proper standards, and giving technicians the space to do the job right.

This is not a conveyor-belt environment. If you enjoy getting stuck into proper mechanical and diagnostic work, this will suit you.

The Role

A varied, hands-on role working across a wide range of vehicles, with plenty of opportunity to carry out in-depth work.

  * Full vehicle diagnostics and fault finding

  * Mechanical repairs including wet belts, cambelts and major components

  * Using diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes

  * General servicing and repair work

  * Taking ownership of jobs from start to finish

What We’re Looking For

  * Strong all-round mechanical and diagnostic experience

  * Comfortable with more involved jobs — not just service work

  * Experience using diagnostic tools and ideally oscilloscopes

  * Someone who takes pride in their work and works to a high standard

  * Able to work independently in a trusted environment

What’s On Offer

This role would suit a technician who prefers a traditional workshop environment, where you’re trusted to get on with the job and focus on doing things properly rather than rushing volume through the door.
