Job Description

Our client, a reputable and multi-award-winning family-run independent service centre based in the Gloucester region, are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join their expanding workshop. With over 20 years of delivering quality and exceptional customer service, this well-established business offers a stable and progressive working environment.

Benefits:

Competitive salary between £35,000 and £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience
28 days annual leave, including bank holidays

Working hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour lunch break and two tea breaksDuties of a Vehicle Technician:

Conduct diagnostic, servicing, and repair work on a variety of cars and vans to high standards
Ensure accurate diagnosis and reporting of faults and vehicle conditions
Adhere strictly to quality and Health & Safety procedures to maintain excellent customer service
Maintain and develop technical skills through in-house training as a Vehicle Technician
Contribute to team targets and objectives, ensuring high productivity and quality
Assist in vehicle inspections, fault finding, and road tests as requiredRequirements of a Vehicle Technician:

NVQ/IMI Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is preferred but not essential; strong practical experience will also be considered
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Good work ethic, proactive attitude, and team spirit
Ability to produce consistent, high-quality work in a busy workshop environment as a Vehicle Technician
MOT Smart Card or experience with German vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory
