WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES - BASINGSTOKE

Forte Recruitment Solutions are looking for fulltime Warehouse Operatives to join our busy client in central Basingstoke.

This role involves working 8am to 5pm, 5 day per week – Does include working alternate weekends.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a demanding & busy role. The successful candidates will be working within a small team and will be responsible for organising, picking & packing loads ready for despatch, unloading and loading vehicles, ensuring all goods are ready & shipped within the correct timeframes.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hardworking, committed and with an eye for detail.

This role involves working on your feet all day and lifting heavy boxes up to 23kg.

The Salary for this role is = £12.22 to £12.49

Hours of Work = 8am to 5pm, 5 day per week – Does include working alternate weekends.

What would be the main responsibilities?

The main responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative role are:-

  * To accurately load and unload vehicles to meet despatch & intake window times.

  * Ensure work environment is kept tidy and complies with Health & Safety requirements.

  * Delivery and despatch administration.

  * Heavy lifting will be required – goods can weight upto 23kg

What key skills would you need for the role?

The Warehouse Operative role does require certain skills, which include:-

  * Must be self-motivated.

  * Strong communication skills and a good understanding of the English language.

  * Excellent attention to detail.

  * Very strong organisational abilities.

  * Hands on approach.

  * Ability to work on own initiative and in a team environment.

  * Reliable, trustworthy and honest with a mature approach to work.

  * Electric Pallet Truck License preferred; however, training will be given if required to the right candidate.

  * Role does involve the use of barcode scanning equipment – No previous experience required, full training provided.
