Job Description

Role: Warehouse Operative 

Location: Sudbury, Suffolk

Join a busy and well-established manufacturer as a Warehouse Operative, supporting the Goods In and Goods Out function. This is a hands-on role involving the safe operation of a Counterbalance Forklift, stock movement, loading and unloading deliveries, and general warehouse duties within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Duties:

Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
Loading and unloading deliveries.
Receiving, checking and booking in incoming goods.
Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
Moving stock safely throughout the warehouse.
Assisting with Goods In and Goods Out activities.
Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory.
Carrying out general warehouse duties and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Following all health and safety procedures.
Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.

Skills:

Previous experience within a warehouse, Goods In or Goods Out environment.
Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential).
Confident operating a Counterbalance Forklift from day one.
Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
