Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Contract Type: Permanent

 Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

 Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (£28,080 – £30,160 p.a.)

The Company

Our client is a fast-growing, well-established supplier of fixings, fastenings and tools to the construction and infrastructure sectors. With an energetic, close-knit team and a genuine focus on customer service, they're looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join their operations team in Sittingbourne.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key part in making sure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time. Working as part of a supportive warehouse team, you'll help maintain efficient day-to-day operations, high standards of stock accuracy, and a great customer experience on every order.

This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday on a two-shift rota:

●      11:00am – 8:00pm

●      12:00pm – 9:00pm

Key Responsibilities

●      Accurately picking customer orders using picking lists or handheld scanners.

●      Packing products securely so they arrive in excellent condition.

●      Checking products for accuracy and quality before dispatch.

●      Labelling and preparing orders for shipment.

●      Replenishing stock and keeping storage locations organised.

●      Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe at all times.

●      Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.

●      Assisting with stock counts and other general warehouse duties as required.

About You

●      Good attention to detail and accuracy.

●      Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

●      Reliable, punctual and a genuine team player.

●      Good communication skills.

●      Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.

●      £13.50 per hour (£28,080 p.a.), rising to £14.50 per hour (£30,160 p.a.) on successful completion of probation.
