Waste Operative

Location: Manchester Airport (M90) Salary: Competitive Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (subject to performance)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting 5 Waste Operatives to join our Front of House Waste Team at Manchester Airport (M90). This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for successful candidates.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the collection, movement, and management of waste across the airport's Front of House areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer presentation are maintained at all times.

Shift Patterns

All roles operate on a 4 on, 2 off rota.

Available shifts:

2 x Waste Operatives: 10:00pm to 6:00am
3 x Waste Operatives: 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Collect and transport waste from designated Front of House areas.
Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and in line with site procedures.
Maintain clean and safe working environments.
Operate company vehicles where required.
Follow all health and safety procedures.
Provide excellent customer service when working in public-facing areas.

Essential Requirements

All applicants must:

Hold a full UK driving licence with category B (standard car licence).
Be able to provide a full 5-year employment and/or education history for Manchester Airport security vetting.
Be willing to undergo airport security clearance checks.
Have good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be physically fit and capable of carrying out a manual handling role.
