Job Description

Yard Operative (Vehicle Movements) – £12.41 per hour
Shift Pattern: 06:00–17:00, weekends as required
Location: On-site (outdoors 90% of the time)

We’re looking for a reliable and conscientious Yard Operative to support vehicle movements within a designated area for a busy hire operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has experience handling vehicles safely and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Safely move hire vehicles (Category B) around the yard and designated areas

  * 

    Follow site instructions and adhere to all safety procedures

  * 

    Ensure vehicles are parked correctly, clean, and ready for use

  * 

    Support general yard duties as required

Requirements

  * 

    Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)

  * 

    DVLA licence checks essential

  * 

    Must be at least 21 years old

  * 

    No DD, DR/G, IN, TT, or UT endorsements

  * 

    No more than 6 points on licence

  * 

    Strong attention to detail – no bumps, scrapes, or damage (DNI policy applies!)

  * 

    Comfortable working outdoors 90% of the time

  * 

    Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends when required
