Yard Operative
Looking for a hands on role with consistent hours and the opportunity to secure a long term position? Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Yard Operative to join a well established and busy business in Gloucester.
If you have previous yard experience, hold a valid forklift licence, and have the confidence to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30
Friday: 07:00 - 16:00
No weekend work
Key Responsibilities:
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading vehicles
Moving stock and materials around the yard
Serving customers in a professional and friendly manner
Understanding customer requirements and assisting them in selecting suitable products
Picking customer orders accurately
Organising and maintaining stock within the yard
Assisting with goods in and goods out processes
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Supporting with general yard duties as requiredWhat We're Looking For:

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
Previous Yard Operative experience (essential)
Experience in a customer facing environment
Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products
Good communication and customer service skills
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
