Job Description

Supply Heroes are looking for a full-time Year 1 class teacher to join a vibrant and friendly primary school in Handsworth, Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and have a knack for making learning fun and engaging. This role will be starting in January 2026 and will be until June 2026.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  * Planning and delivering engaging and relevant lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  * Assessing student progress on a regular basis

  * Supporting students' social and emotional development

  * Identifying students who may need additional support and connecting them with the resources they need

  * Working effectively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students

We are looking for someone who is:

  * Experience of teaching in KS1

  * Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching

  * Creative and innovative in their teaching methods

  * Able to build positive relationships with students

  * A team player who is willing to collaborate with others

  * A good communicator who is able to explain concepts clearly

  * Flexible and adaptable to the pupils needs

  * Have a teaching qualification to teach in the UK
