Are you a confident, caring, and motivated Teaching Assistant looking for a role where you can genuinely change a child’s life?
A warm and inclusive Primary School in Waltham Forest is searching for a strong 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a delightful pupil with Down’s Syndrome. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about SEN who wants a long-term, meaningful role.

About the Role

You will be working one-to-one with a child who needs consistency, encouragement, and a nurturing adult to help them shine. Working alongside the class teacher, SENCO, and therapists, you will support communication, social interaction, engagement in lessons, and daily routines. Every day will bring moments where your patience and positivity make a huge impact.

Your role will include:

    Using visual prompts, modelling, and supportive strategies

  * 

    Encouraging independence and confidence

  * 

    Supporting fine motor, communication, and learning tasks

  * 

    Helping the pupil feel safe, included, and motivated

What We’re Looking For

  * 

    Experience with Down’s Syndrome or similar SEN needs

  * 

    Calm, patient, and adaptable personality

  * 

    Strong communication and teamwork skills

  * 

    A genuine passion for helping children succeed

  * 

    Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
