Founded in 2018, Distinctive is a fast growing grocery sourcing business, supplying British retailers with differentiated products that customers truly value. The UK grocery market has been going through a massive transformation and Distinctive is on a mission to help retailers and brands serve their customers better throughout this process.
Managed by a team of highly experienced ex-retailers that have set out to transform the way products reach customers; we deliver food and non-food products to our Retail customers. We cover ambient, chilled and frozen food and General Merchandise. We are growing rapidly and are constantly looking for the right people to join our team.
The Sales Executive will play a fundamental role in the growth of Distinctive. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and shape a role in a growing team.
Sales Executive Responsibilities
This is a hugely diverse and varied role. The purpose of this role is to:
  * monitor and analyse sales performance data and generate actionable insights and actions
  * develop and manage product offers across different categories
  * manage relationships with product suppliers
  * work closely with our retail clients to improve performance and service
  * keep up to date with industry trends, such as new products and competitors activities
  * prepare and lead suppliers and customers’ meetings
In order to succeed in the Account Executive role, you will have:
  * Good verbal and written communication skills
  * Good commercial acumen
  * An interest in grocery retailing or consumer goods and understand basic concepts in this sector
  * Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment
  * Have strong excel skills
  * Willingness to roll up your sleeves and be hands on
  * Good team player
Location
  * Our office is based in Lichfield and the ideal candidate will be Midlands based
  * Work is hybrid and some travel necessary so a UK driving license is required
