Job Description

We are seeking a Blow Mould Engineer to join the evening shift team within the Engineering & Manufacturing department. This role focuses on maintaining and optimising blow moulding machinery in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

This position is with a well-established, medium-sized organisation in the FMCG industry. The company is recognised for its focus on production efficiency and quality within its operations in Bootle.

Description

As the Blow Mould Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

Perform routine and reactive maintenance on blow moulding machines and related equipment.

Work with 15L and 20L HDPE bottle production lines, ensuring output meets required standards for quality, weight, and cycle time.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.

Report directly to the Site Manager and collaborate with other engineers on site.

Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company Health & Safety and Food Safety protocols.

Accurately document issues and develop plans to prevent future recurrences.

Use equipment such as - Uniloy, Model ME, singular head A1 blow moulding machines.

Profile

A successful Blow Mould Engineer should have:

Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar engineering role within the blow moulding industry.

Strong knowledge of extrusion blow moulding machines (both continuous and reciprocating), particularly with HDPE bottles.

Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Ideally apprentice-trained, with a City & Guilds qualification or higher.

Familiarity with Health & Food Safety standards in a manufacturing setting.
