About the Job
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving apprenticeship and work-based learning growth in the West Midlands. You will identify new business opportunities, manage employer relationships, and ensure targets for apprenticeship starts and revenue are achieved.
Your key responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining employer partnerships across the West Midlands
*
Promoting the organisation’s apprenticeship and work-based learning programmes
*
Delivering sales and engagement strategies to meet apprenticeship start and revenue targets
*
Preparing tailored proposals, presentations, and contracts for prospective employers
*
Attending employer meetings, networking events, and regional skills events
*
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and programme delivery
*
Providing market insights and supporting bid or tender development
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in apprenticeship sales, work-based learning, or employer engagement, and be motivated to achieve results.
You will bring:

Proven success in meeting apprenticeship start, sales, or revenue targets

Knowledge of apprenticeship funding, delivery models, and work-based learning frameworks

Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to develop and convert new business opportunities

Confidence working independently and managing regional priorities

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the West Midlands
