Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire
Salary: £24,784 - £30,325 per annum (inclusive of sleeps paid at £50 per sleep)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Work Pattern: In-person, including sleep-ins

Overview
We are recruiting a Residential Care Worker (Qualified or Unqualified) to join an Ofsted-inspected children’s residential home in Rugeley. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about residential childcare, whether you already hold an NVQ or you are ready to begin your career and work towards a qualification.

As a Residential Care Worker (Qualified or Unqualified) in Rugeley, you will help create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment where young people can build confidence, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  * Support young people with daily routines, including education, constructive activities and personal development

  * Build consistent, positive and professional relationships with young people

  * Promote a safe, supportive and structured living environment in Rugeley

  * Manage and respond to challenging behaviour calmly and consistently

  * Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality care

  * Contribute to care plans, reports and day-to-day record-keeping to support strong safeguarding practice

Essential Criteria

  * NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Children’s Residential Care, or willing to undertake / currently working towards

  * Full UK driving licence (manual or automatic)

  * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

  * Resilient, patient and proactive approach

  * Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff
