Content Designer – Central Government (GOVUK Experience Essential)

Rate: £450–£525/day Inside IR35

Locations: Base locations across the UK including London, Bristol, and Manchester

On-site Requirement: 1 day per week

We’re looking for experienced Content Designers to join high-profile Central Government digital service teams. You’ll create and improve user-centred content that meets service standards and makes a real impact on millions of users.

What You’ll Do

  * Design, improve, and manage content using analytics, user feedback, and research

  * Apply and contribute to content principles and strategiesIdentify user needs and write clear, actionable user storiesCollaborate effectively with stakeholders across government and industry

  * Take a strategic approach to content design, ensuring compliance with service standards

Essential Skills Experience

  * Government experience is critical – strong understanding of GOVUK content standards and service design principlesHands-on experience with GOVUK publishing systems

  * Expertise in content design, using insights and analytics to inform decisions
