Our Security Team is dedicated to helping businesses with security and compliance. We assist with security clearances, achieve Cyber Essentials certifications and work with public sector organisations including the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Justice.
We are looking for an experienced IT professional to support the delivery of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments. This is a hands-on technical role focused on collecting evidence, running configuration checks, and helping clients achieve certification.
It’s an excellent opportunity to move into the rapidly growing field of cyber security within a fast-expanding and nationally recognised company. You’ll gain exposure to real-world compliance assessments, automation, and security governance — with full training and mentorship from our Lead Assessor, who will review and sign off all assessments.
Alongside assessment work, you’ll also help streamline and automate internal processes using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint, and other low-code platforms, helping the business work more efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Assessor in delivering Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments.
- Collect and record technical evidence from client systems (screenshots, patch data, configurations).
- Run device, network, and account security checks.
- Maintain audit logs, trackers, and client reports.
- Assist with remediation planning and client support.
- Help automate business processes and workflows using Microsoft Power Automate and SharePoint.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency across internal systems and documentation.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years’ IT experience (desktop support, networking, or systems administration).
- Strong understanding of Windows configuration, patching, and basic network security.
- Good documentation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and professionalism when working with clients.
Desirable (training provided):
- Awareness of Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g. Tenable, Qualys).
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and endpoint management.
Benefits:
- Training towards IASME Cyber Essentials Assessor certification.
- Flexible working and supportive team environment.
- Involvement in real-world client assessments across multiple sectors.
