Job Description

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Contract Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for an Electrical Contract Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

The Electrical Contract Manager, will be responsible for:

  * 

    Lead the delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to handover.

  * 

    Manage project planning, resourcing, budgets, and timelines.

  * 

    Conduct site visits, surveys, client meetings, inspections, and handovers (travel and overnight stays may be required).

  * 

    Provide guidance, support, and leadership to project teams, monitoring performance and development.

  * 

    Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency.

  * 

    Manage the customer relationship, handling expectations and resolving disputes.

  * 

    Prepare and present Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) forecasts to management.

  * 

    Liaise with Design, Estimating, and Subcontract teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  * 

    Drive performance improvements and promote continuous development within the operations team.

  * 

    Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, statutory testing, and industry standards (IEE, NICEIC, JCT, NEC etc.).

  * 

    Maintain accurate project documentation, permits to work, and compliance registers.

  * 

    Identify and maximise opportunities for extra works and revenue growth.

To be successful for this Electrical Contract Manager role you must have:

  * 

    Core electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds).

  * 

    Ideally, HNC / HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.

  * 

    Proven experience as an Electrical Contract Manager or Project Manager.

  * 

    Strong background in Health & Safety management, including CDM Regulations.

  * 

    Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
