Job Role: Electrical Supervisor
 Location: RAF Menwith Hill 
Salary: Up to £54,000 + Benefits 
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

 Mainstay Recruitment are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our clients Facilities Control Centre (FCC) within the Operations Technical Compound (OTC). This role is central to ensuring the continuous operation of mission-critical systems in a high-security environment.

 Working within a 24/7 rotating shift system and reporting to the Facilities Watch Officer (FWO) Shift Manager, you will supervise the maintenance and operation of essential utilities infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

 Key Responsibilities

 • Oversee the maintenance and operational performance of critical electrical and mechanical systems.
 • Act as the duty Authorised Person (AP) Electrical during shifts, ensuring compliance with MOD safe systems of work.
 • Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities through the CMMS system, coordinating in-house teams and contractors.
 • Track and report on serviceability, maintenance effectiveness, and equipment performance.
 • Develop, review, and maintain Engineering Operating Procedures and emergency action plans.
 • Manage critical spare parts, generator fuel supplies, and ensure resources are maintained to operational standards.
 • Monitor Building Management Control Systems (BMCS) and SCADA interfaces to maintain system performance and respond to faults.

 About You 

You’ll be a technically skilled professional with the ability to lead and coordinate maintenance teams in a demanding environment. To be successful as an Electrical Supervisor, you’ll bring:

 • ONC or Level 3 NVQ in a relevant electrical engineering discipline.
 • Minimum of three years’ experience in electrical or facilities engineering.
 • Emergency First Aid at Work certification and a valid Category B driving licence.
 • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
 • Ability to obtain and maintain Authorised Person (AP) Electrical status within two years.

 Desirable:

 • EngTech status or progression toward professional registration.
 • Experience within MOD or other secure environments.

 Security Clearance

 Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be UK or US nationals with indefinite leave to remain in the UK and be able to obtain and maintain DV Enhanced Security Vetting.
