We are working with a reputable, busy specialist engineering company, providing inspection, testing, and compliance services across a wide range of lifting equipment and plant machinery. The business has an excellent reputation in the industry and is known for its high staff retention and collaborative team culture.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Engineer Surveyor to join their team based in Luton.

This role will involve carrying out inspections and assessments of lifting equipment and plant machinery across various client sites, ensuring compliance with current regulations and safety standards.

The position will require regular travel, so flexibility and a proactive approach are essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

  * Conducting thorough inspections of lifting equipment and plant machinery

  * Ensuring all equipment meets relevant safety and compliance standards

  * Producing detailed inspection reports and documentation

  * Identifying defects and advising on remedial actions

  * Liaising with clients and site personnel

  * Managing workload across multiple sites

Requirements:

  * Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant inspection or engineering role

  * LEEA qualifications (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association), ideally including the Lifting Accessories Diploma

  * Proven experience inspecting plant machinery

  * Strong understanding of lifting equipment regulations and safety standards

  * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

  * Experience inspecting tower cranes
