Job Description

We’re hiring for a Folder Gluer Operator to join a growing manufacturing business based in Stockport.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating folder gluer machinery, ensuring cartons and packaging products are folded and glued accurately while maintaining high production and quality standards.

What’s on offer?

  * £28,000 - £30,000 p/a

  * Rotating shift pattern | 12 hour shifts

  * Thurs / Fri / Sat – 1 day off – Mon / Tues / Wed – then 7 days off

  * Currently days, moving to rotating days and nights

  * Company pension scheme

  * 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

  * Overtime available

What will you be doing as a Folder Gluer Operator?

  * Setting and operating folder gluer machines within the print finishing department

  * Adjusting machine settings to ensure accurate folding, gluing and carton alignment

  * Monitoring production runs to maintain quality and output targets

  * Carrying out quality checks on cartons and packaging products

  * Reading and following job sheets and production specifications

  * Working closely with print and die cutting teams to keep production flowing

  * Making basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting issues

  * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace

What will you need?

  * Previous experience as a Folder Gluer Operator, Print Finisher or Packaging Machine Operator

  * Experience within print, packaging, carton or manufacturing environments

  * Good mechanical understanding and attention to detail

  * Ability to read production specs and job sheets

  * Basic maths skills for measurements and machine settings

  * Confident using hand tools for machine adjustments
