Ocean Import Operator

Location: Manchester - South 

Salary: Up to £37,000 + Bonus (% of your salary)

 About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join a fast-growing and highly respected freight forwarding team based near Manchester Airport.

 This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in ocean imports who wants to join a company that truly values its people, offers a fantastic culture, and offers progression.

 You’ll be responsible for managing ocean import shipments from start to finish, working closely with customers, overseas agents, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
 Key Responsibilities  
Manage end-to-end ocean import shipments 
Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, and customers 
Arrange customs clearance and delivery 
Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to clients 
Handle documentation and compliance requirements 
Resolve shipment issues and ensure excellent customer service 
Maintain accurate records within the internal freight system  Requirements  
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Ocean Import Operations within a freight forwarding environment 
Strong knowledge of import processes and documentation 
Excellent organisation and communication skills 
Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment 
Positive team attitude and customer-focused mindset  What’s On Offer
