About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team in Wigan. This is a long-term, full-time role teaching across KS3 and KS4, providing students with high-quality learning experiences and practical skills in food preparation, nutrition, and design technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  * 

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS3 and KS4 Food Technology, ensuring all students make excellent progress.

  * 

    Develop students’ practical skills and theoretical knowledge in food preparation, cooking, nutrition, and food science.

  * 

    Prepare students for examinations, including coursework and practical assessments.

  * 

    Create a positive and safe learning environment that encourages creativity and independence.

  * 

    Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  * 

    Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

  * 

    Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.

  * 

    Proven experience teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.

  * 

    Strong understanding of the curriculum and exam specifications.

  * 

    Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  * 

    Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of food and nutrition.
