Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a wastewater treatment scheme in Leeds, with an immediate start available. This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering key infrastructure works within a regulated water environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

  * Supervising day-to-day site operations on a wastewater treatment project

  * Managing subcontractors, direct labour, and plant on site

  * Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

  * Overseeing civil works including drainage, concrete structures, pipework, and ducting

  * Delivering daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions

  * Working closely with the Site Agent and Engineers to ensure smooth project delivery

  * Monitoring productivity and reporting progress to senior management

  * Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring QA processes are followed

  * Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and industry regulations

Requirements:

  * Proven experience as a General Foreman on wastewater or sewage treatment schemes

  * Strong civil engineering background within the utilities sector

  * Experience managing multiple work fronts and site teams

  * SMSTS or SSSTS qualification

  * Valid CSCS card

  * First Aid at Work (preferred)

  * Strong leadership and communication skills
