Job Description

We’re hiring for a Guillotine Operator to join a busy engineering workshop in Westhoughton.
You’ll be setting, programming, and running the guillotine to produce accurate cut parts and support smooth workflow across the shop floor.
What’s on offer?
  * £27k p/a
  * Mon – Fri | 6am – 2:30pm
  * 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  * Standard pension scheme
  * Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
What will you be doing as a Guillotine Operator?
  * Setting, programming, and operating the guillotine
  * Working alongside an assistant to keep production running efficiently
  * Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
  * Understanding cutting lists and material allocation
  * Carrying out quality checks to make sure work meets spec
  * Keeping your workspace safe, tidy, and well-organised
What will you need?
  * Previous experience operating and programming guillotine machines
  * Ability to programme the machine independently
  * Strong understanding of fabrication/engineering drawings
  * Knowledge of material types, thicknesses, and usage
