Head of Network Services / Network Services Business Leader Location: London (Hybrid) Reports to: CCO Division: Network Services About the Organisation This organisation is a leading technology, data and consulting business delivering transformative solutions across more than 50 global markets. With over 1,700 specialists in the UK, the business operates across four core areas: Consumer & Market Intelligence Digital Experience & Transformation Operational Systems Technology & Network Services The company delivers solutions across industries including retail, financial services, public sector, transport, telecoms and more. It generates over £250m in UK revenue and is part of a larger international group, independently operated in the UK with a strong commercial client base. About the Network Services Division Network Services accounts for around 10% of the UK operation, with approximately 170 employees in the UK and 70 in India. The division's mission is to double in size within the next three years. The team delivers high-value consulting and engineering expertise across: Enterprise Network Engineering & Architecture Network Automation / NetDevOps Infrastructure Virtualisation Managed Network Services Delivery Assurance Business Process & Service Design Enterprise Data Services Clients include major UK and global enterprises across finance, energy, media, telecoms and critical infrastructure. The Role This is a senior leadership position responsible for defining, growing and leading the Network Services division. The role includes full P&L accountability, strategic planning, operational oversight, commercial leadership, proposition development, people management and executive-level client engagement. The role also sits on the organisation's UK Executive Board, contributing to strategic decision-making across the wider group. Key Responsibilities 1. P&L Leadership & Financial Ownership Lead the division's full P&L, ensuring profitable revenue and margin growth. Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost management. Monitor KPIs including revenue per head, utilisation and project margins, taking action where required. Ensure accurate, timely reporting and financial governance. 2. Strategic Planning & Growth Define a 3-year strategic growth plan for the division. Lead the go-to-market strategy across propositions, target markets and competitive positioning. Identify acquisition opportunities and develop business cases for investment. Partner with commercial leadership to build a scalable sales and marketing capability. 3. Operational Leadership Oversee delivery operations, ensuring high quality outcomes for clients. Address complex delivery challenges with hands-on involvement when needed. Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and operational excellence across UK and India teams. 4. Sales, Marketing & Proposition Development Build compelling propositions and pricing models. Support large-scale bids and high-value enterprise opportunities. Ensure alignment between sales, marketing and delivery teams. 5. People & Culture Leadership Lead and develop a multi-location team of over 240 people. Ensure clear career pathways, training access and succession planning. Implement engagement and communication programmes aligned with company values. Foster a collaborative culture across UK and India functions. 6. Client Relationships & Market Profile Act as a senior sponsor for key strategic clients. Ensure account plans are in place with clear ownership. Represent the business externally via events, thought leadership and industry contributions. Maintain strong market awareness to inform strategic decisions. 7. Innovation & Proposition Evolution Identify emerging technologies and opportunities for innovation. Develop business cases for investment in new products, tools or capabilities. Drive the evolution of automation, managed services and consulting propositions. 8. Compliance & Governance Ensure full adherence to internal policies and external regulations. Maintain high standards across financial controls, delivery governance and operational processes. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience leading a commercial technology or consulting business. Demonstrable P&L ownership with a track record of profitable growth. Deep understanding of the network services, IT infrastructure or managed services industry. Strong strategic and commercial acumen. Experience working with C-Suite and senior enterprise stakeholders.
