Job Description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Leicester area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.

Shifts: Saturday only (ASAP START)

Hours: Days (6am start)

Pay Rate:

£17.50 per hour PAYE

Location: Leicester, LE4

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

  * Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels)

  * Shuttling lorries from Leicester to Coventry 3 times throughout the shift

  * Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.

  * Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.

  * Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  * Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).

  * Minimum of 6 months experience required.

  * Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

  * No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

  * Full understanding of WTD legislation.

  * Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

  * Excellent communication skills.

  * A safety-first mindset.
