We are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and Teaching Assistants (TA) to support primary schools across Somerset, Devon, and the wider South West region.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced education support staff looking for immediate placements, with both short-term and longer-term opportunities available.

Role Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2

• Leading small group sessions and interventions (HLTA level)

• Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEN support

• Supporting classroom management and lesson delivery

• Creating a positive, engaging and safe learning environment

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA

• Confident supporting pupils in a classroom setting

• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work across different schools if required

Compliance Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

• Right to Work in the UK

• References covering recent employment
