Job Purpose
We are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy People Team, providing a proactive and professional generalist HR service with a strong focus on Employee Relations.
Working closely with HR Business Partners, Shared Services, and L&D, you’ll support managers across the full employee lifecycle, offering pragmatic advice, coaching, and guidance to ensure consistent, compliant, and people-focused outcomes.
This is a varied role where you’ll be instrumental in driving a positive colleague experience, supporting organisational initiatives, and embedding a customer-first approach across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across a range of people matters
Support and manage a wide range of Employee Relations casework, ensuring alignment with employment law, policies, and best practice
Coach and support managers on people-related issues, promoting fair and consistent decision-making
Assist with end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, induction, flexible working, and family leave
Support delivery of HR projects and organisational development initiatives
Deliver or support training sessions related to people management and HR best practice
Contribute to HR reporting and data analysis to support business decision-making
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance
Support continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and proceduresCandidate Profile
Previous experience working within a generalist HR role
Strong Employee Relations experience, with confidence managing complex casework
Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proactive, organised, and customer-focused in your approachDesirable
CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards)
Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Coaching or mediation experience
