Humanities Teacher – RE / History / Geography | Stockport

Start Date: September 2026
Location: Stockport
Contract: Long Term
Pay: £170 - £250 per day

Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking for a new long-term opportunity in Stockport?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Stockport from September 2026. The role would suit a teacher specialising in RE, History or Geography who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and inspiring students.

The Role:

Teach engaging Humanities lessons across the relevant subject area

Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons

Support students in making strong academic progress

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Monitor and assess student progress

Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge in RE, History or Geography

Previous experience teaching within a UK secondary school

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Passionate about education and supporting young people

Strong communication and organisational skills

Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high-quality teaching
