Are you a confident KS1 Teaching Assistant with a passion for early learning and development? A welcoming primary school in Smethwick is seeking a skilled TA to provide targeted support across Key Stage 1, delivering interventions and assisting pupils who need extra help to stay on track.
This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys working with a range of learners. You'll work across Year 1 and Year 2 classes, focusing on phonics, literacy and numeracy interventions, as well as providing general in-class support where needed.
In this role, you will:
Delivering structured interventions to small groups and individual pupils
Supporting the class teacher with planning and resources for targeted sessions
Helping to raise attainment in reading, writing and maths
Encouraging positive learning behaviours and pupil confidence
Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staffYou'll need:
A Level 3 TA qualification (preferred) or equivalent classroom experience
Recent experience working within Key Stage 1
Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early learning strategies
Excellent communication and rapport with young children
