Tennial Personnel are recruiting a Landscaping Team Leader to join a well-established horticultural company based in Campsea Ashe, Suffolk. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent position following 12 successful working weeks.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on landscaper looking to take the next step in their career and lead a small team across a variety of landscaping projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and organising a team to complete landscaping work in line with designs and project requirements. You will need to be confident working hands-on alongside the team, while also being able to take responsibility for organising workloads, managing priorities and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
The role would suit someone with previous landscaping or agricultural experience who is confident taking the lead, can work on their own initiative and is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Potential overtime available
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of landscaping operatives on site
Organise and allocate daily work to ensure projects are completed efficiently
Work from landscaping designs and instructions provided by the designer
Ensure work is completed accurately and to the required specification
Remain hands-on and assist with all aspects of landscaping work
Carry out tree and hedge planting and other soft landscaping duties
Assist with hard landscaping and general groundworks
Operate machinery including tractors, small diggers and excavators where required
Ensure tools, equipment and machinery are used safely and correctly
Manage workloads and prioritise tasks to meet project deadlines
Identify and resolve practical issues on site using your own initiative
Maintain high standards of workmanship, organisation and site cleanliness
Communicate effectively with the team and project management
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed

Qualifications Required
Previous landscaping, grounds maintenance, agriculture, farming or similar practical experience
Previous experience leading or supervising a team
Experience working from landscaping designs or project specifications
Experience of tree and hedge planting
Previous soft landscaping experience
Some hard landscaping experience
Experience operating machinery such as tractors, small diggers or excavators
Relevant machinery or plant licences/tickets are advantageous
Full UK driving licence is advantageous
