Job Description

Large Format Print Supervisor / Team Leader

Location: Gateshead, Tyne & Wear

The perfect candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, be able to maintain our clients’ high standards of workmanship and quality, be self-motivated and be a good role model for the rest of the team.

The Role

  * Leading a small vinyl application team, issuing works orders, managing performance reviews and managing production to suit deadlines.

  * Ensuring all installations are completed on time, to budget and to our usual high standards.

  * Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.

  * Application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates

  * Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.

  * Operate and maintain, vinyl cutters and laminators. (Zund)

  * Operating large format digital printers

  * Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.

  * Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.

  * Assisting in-house production staff when required.

Requirements

  * Extensive experience in Print production, large format finishing, and sign-making.

  * Advanced knowledge of flatbed cutting machinery and digital printing hardware.

  * Previous experience leading a team or acting as a "Lead Hand" in a manufacturing or production environment is highly desirable.

  * Flexible attitude to working time
