About the role/school

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant, supportive primary school in Newham from January. The school has a strong focus on pupil progress, inclusion, and wellbeing, providing a welcoming environment for staff and children alike.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to support pupils' learning and development, particularly those with additional needs. Job Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Assist with learning activities across the curriculum, including literacy and numeracy

Help develop pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural skills

Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement tailored learning strategies

Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

This role is ideal for someone patient, reliable, and passionate about making a difference in children's learning.

Qualifications/Experience

Experience working with children in a school or educational setting

Knowledge of supporting pupils with additional needs or SEND is desirable

Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

Right to work in the UK

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
