Job Description
Job Title: M&E Buyer
Location: Kent
Salary: £48K - £52K (DOE)
The Role:
* Oversee procurement processes, including purchase orders and requisition management.
* Maintain procurement trackers, call-off schedules, and material journey plans.
* Obtain material quotations and support value engineering (VE) initiatives.
* Manage supplier negotiations, securing competitive rates and agreements.
* Handle technical submissions, sample boards, and project specifications.
* Oversee stock management, PPE orders, and material reuse across projects.
* Build strong supplier relationships and ensure smooth material logistics.
* Office-based role, Monday to Friday.
The Company:
* 18+ years of experience in residential new build and refurbishment projects.
* Based in Kent, strong order book for 2025.
* Specializes in domestic fit-outs and large district heat networks.
* 30+ direct employees.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in procurement or buying within M&E or construction.
* Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
* Excellent organization and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of material schedules, logistics, and project planning.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
