Job Specification - Maintenance Manager (Electrical Bias)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong electrical bias to oversee engineering operations within a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead the maintenance function, ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the site maintenance function with a strong focus on electrical systems.
Oversee and support a team of 12 engineers (6 per shift).
Ensure all plant equipment is maintained to maximise uptime and operational efficiency.
Diagnose faults, coordinate repairs, and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
Maintain and support key production machinery including:
Granulators
Weighers and silos
Production presses
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential
Recognised Electrical Engineering qualifications.
Strong electrical bias within maintenance engineering.
Experience within a Food or FMCG manufacturing environment.
Previous experience leading or supervising engineering teams.
Desirable
IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
Experience within animal feed manufacturing (highly advantageous).
Department Structure
12 engineers within the maintenance team.
Engineers report into the Engineering Manager, with the Maintenance Manager supporting team oversight and operational delivery.
Package
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Overtime / Shift Allowance: TBC
Working Hours:
9:00am - 5:00pm
