Job Description

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in St Helens to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a September 2026 start.

This role would suit a confident teacher who is passionate about helping students develop their numeracy and problem-solving skills. The school has a supportive leadership team and a collaborative Maths department committed to raising attainment across KS3 and KS4.

The role will involve:

Delivering engaging Maths lessons to a range of abilities
Planning and assessing in line with the national curriculum
Supporting pupils to achieve their academic potential
Contributing positively to the wider school community

The school is open to:

ECTs looking for strong mentoring and career development
Experienced teachers seeking long-term stability or a permanent role

Requirements:

QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
Recent experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school
A positive, proactive teaching approach
