Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Yorkshire (site-based)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (Permanent) – Rates in line with the JIB Agreement

A well-established mechanical and HVAC contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation projects across Yorkshire.

This is a permanent, hourly-paid position offering long-term, secure employment with a business that delivers high-quality mechanical building services across commercial, industrial and public sector projects.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, whilst leading site teams and coordinating with project management and subcontractors.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

* Supervising mechanical installation works on site from start through to completion.
* Managing direct labour and subcontractors to ensure programmes are achieved.
* Coordinating daily site activities and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Carrying out toolbox talks and promoting a strong health & safety culture.
* Monitoring quality standards and ensuring installations comply with drawings and specifications.
* Liaising with Project Managers, clients, consultants and other trades on site.
* Ordering and managing materials, plant and labour requirements.
* Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress.
* Assisting with commissioning, snagging and project handover.

The Person

Applicants should have:

* Previous experience supervising mechanical building services installations.
* Strong background in commercial and industrial mechanical services.
* Excellent knowledge of HVAC, pipework and plant installations.
* SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
* CSCS Supervisor Card.
* Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
