Job Overview
As a Non-Teaching Head of Year (Pastoral), you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development of students within your allocated year group. Working closely with senior leaders, teachers, and parents, you will ensure students feel supported, safe, and able to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
Lead on the pastoral care and wellbeing of students within a designated year group.
Support students with behaviour, attendance, and personal development.
Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
Monitor student progress, behaviour, and attendance, implementing interventions where needed.
Support students facing challenges both inside and outside of school.
Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies and expectations.
Work closely with teaching staff, safeguarding leads, and senior leadership to support student needs.
Maintain accurate records and report on student wellbeing and progress where required.
Contribute to school initiatives aimed at improving student welfare and engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience working with children or young people is essential.
Experience in a pastoral, safeguarding, or behaviour support role is desirable.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is required.
