Nursery Practitioner – Flexible Part-Time – Chelmsford

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of welcoming nurseries in Chelmsford that are looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Practitioner for flexible, part-time opportunities. This Nursery Practitioner role is perfect for someone seeking a better work-life balance while continuing to make a positive impact in early years settings.

As a flexible Nursery Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to choose the days and hours that suit you, working across a variety of nurseries. This role offers shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm, with complete flexibility depending on your availability.

This Nursery Practitioner position is available for an immediate start. However, we understand that some candidates may have a notice period, and we are happy to accommodate this. Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner:

Supporting the learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities where required
Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
Observing and supporting children’s progress and development
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff teams
Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Required Qualifications and Skills for the Nursery Practitioner:

A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education)
Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
A flexible and adaptable approach to working environments
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
