Job Title: Ofsted Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Stockport
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 DOE + Ofsted & Occupancy Bonuses

About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced and driven Ofsted Registered Manager to lead the opening of a new 3-bed EBD children’s home in Stockport.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation that has already successfully opened its first home and is now expanding. You will play a pivotal role in setting up, registering, and leading this new service, with full support from an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) and hands-on Directors.

This role is ideal for an established Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

  * Provide full operational leadership of the home

  * Ensure safeguarding standards and full Ofsted compliance

  * Lead Ofsted inspections with confidence and professionalism

  * Manage referrals and build effective multi-agency partnerships

  * Develop and implement high-quality, person-centred care plans

  * Recruit, lead, mentor, and retain a strong staff team

  * Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement

  * Oversee budgets with meaningful strategic input

About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and making a genuine impact.

You will:

  * Hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential)

  * Hold a Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or be working towards)

  * Have a minimum of 2 years’ residential childcare experience (within the last 5 years)

  * Have at least 1 year of experience in a senior or management role

  * Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and EBD

  * Be ambitious and motivated to build and develop a high-quality service – not just maintain one
