Operations and Compliance Coordinator 📍 Newcastle - Hybrid working available 🕒 Part-Time - 24 hours per week 💼 Permanent 💰 £33,000 FTE (pro rata) About the Organisation Office Angels are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and values-driven charity based in Newcastle. This organisation plays a vital role in supporting its community and is seeking a dedicated professional to help ensure its operations run efficiently and compliantly. About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual to join the charity as an Operations and Compliance Coordinator. You will play a pivotal role in supporting both day-to-day operational delivery and compliance/governance processes, helping to ensure the organisation meets its regulatory requirements while providing an excellent internal service. Key Responsibilities: Operations Support Provide comprehensive administrative support across the organisation Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, contracts, changes, and leavers Maintain accurate systems, records, and documentation Assist with recruitment administration and onboarding processes Coordinate internal processes to support efficient service deliveryCompliance & Governance Support compliance activities to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute key documentation Take minutes and track actions to completion Maintain governance records, policies, and compliance logs Assist with audits and reporting requirementsData & Systems Produce reports relating to HR, operations, and compliance metrics Ensure all data is handled in line with GDPR and confidentiality requirements Maintain and update internal systems, databases, and records Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gainsBoard & Executive Support Provide high-quality administrative support to the Executive Team and Board of Trustees Coordinate Board and committee meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and documentation Prepare and distribute agendas, board packs, and papers in a timely manner Take professional minutes and track actions to completion Support governance processes, ensuring decisions and actions are properly recorded Act as a key liaison between senior stakeholders, ensuring smooth communicationAbout You Previous experience in operations, compliance, or administration Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Experience working with confidential information Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across teams Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing prioritiesWhy Join This Charity?
