Our client is a well-established and growing engineering business delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions across the UK. As a trusted provider within their sector, they specialise in precision engineering and mechanical manufacturing, supporting a diverse client base.
They are expanding their operational capability and looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the successful delivery of production output and continuous improvement initiatives.
Salary to £75,000 | Company Car | Private Healthcare | 25 Days Holiday | Early Finish Fridays | Full-time
Operations Manager Key Essentials:
Reporting to the senior leadership team, as Operations Manager your role will involve taking full responsibility for production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
Managing a team of approximately 35 shop floor staff, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management
Overseeing production planning and scheduling to maximise output and meet delivery deadlines
Working closely with the design team to ensure seamless transition from design through to manufacture
Taking ownership of supply chain coordination, ensuring materials and components are available as required
Identifying and resolving operational challenges using effective problem-solving techniques
Driving continuous improvement across production processes, productivity, and quality standards
Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture
Operations Manager Requirements:
Proven track record in a Operations Manager or similar leadership role within engineering or manufacturing
Strong mechanical or engineering background (essential)
Excellent planning, organisational, and leadership skills
Confident communicator with the ability to engage across teams and departments
Demonstrated problem-solving ability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience managing large teams within a production setting
