Job Description

Field Commissioning Engineer – Process Equipment / Automation UK Travel | Process Engineering Projects Our client is a specialist engineering company that designs, manufactures and installs bespoke process equipment for customers across sectors including pharmaceutical, life sciences, chemical and food manufacturing. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Field Commissioning Engineer to support the final stage of project delivery, ensuring newly installed equipment is fully commissioned and operational at client sites across the UK. This is a field-based role ideal for engineers with experience in process plant, automation, or machinery commissioning within regulated industries. Role Responsibilities * Commissioning newly installed process equipment and automation systems * Supporting installation and integration of PLC-controlled systems * Conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) prior to delivery * Performing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning at customer sites * Fault finding and troubleshooting control, instrumentation and process issues * Ensuring systems meet technical specifications and client requirements * Producing commissioning documentation, reports and test records * Liaising with internal engineering teams and site personnel * Supporting handover of fully operational systems to the client Candidate Requirements Applicants should have experience working within process engineering or automated machinery environments. Key experience required: * Commissioning process equipment or automated machinery * Working with PLC control systems * Experience performing FAT testing * Electrical, mechanical or controls engineering background * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently at customer sites across the UK 💰 Salary up to £60,000
