About the Role
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee and manage UK-compliant discretionary portfolios, covering ISA, SIPP and Offshore Bond wrappers. This hire will play a key role in strengthening the company’s discretionary investment capability and supporting clients across the UK, Middle East and International markets.
The role suits a technically strong investment professional who is comfortable operating with autonomy, has experience managing HNW client portfolios and understands the regulatory nuances of UK-compliant products.
Depending on circumstances, the successful candidate may be based in Dubai or remain UK-based, travelling to Dubai periodically.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Construction & Management
* Manage discretionary mandates across ISA, SIPP, Offshore Bonds and related UK-compliant wrappers.
* Deliver consistent portfolio performance aligned with clients’ risk profiles and long-term objectives.
* Conduct ongoing portfolio reviews, rebalancing, cash management, and tactical adjustments.
* Implement company’s investment philosophy while contributing to broader investment ideas and asset allocation views.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a trusted investment contact for UK, International and Middle East–based clients.
* Support relationship managers by providing portfolio insights, updates and investment rationale.
* Engage with internal teams in Dubai and the UK to ensure smooth client servicing across time zones.
Research & Market Insight
* Maintain a deep understanding of global markets, macroeconomic trends, fund selection and product structures.
* Participate in internal investment discussions and contribute to thematic research notes.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
* Ensure all portfolios adhere to UK regulatory standards across wrappers (ISA/SIPP/Offshore Bond).
* Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and governance in line with the firm's guidelines.
* Support improvements in internal processes, investment governance and oversight frameworks.
Requirements
Experience:
* 6–10 years of experience as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Manager or Senior Associate managing UK discretionary client portfolios.
* Hands-on experience with ISA, SIPP and Offshore Bond structures is essential.
* Experience working with private clients, HNW individuals or adviser-introduced clients.
Technical Skills:
* Strong multi-asset investment capability (equities, fixed income, funds, alternatives).
* Solid understanding of UK regulatory structures & compliance requirements.
* Competence in portfolio management systems, analytics and reporting tools.
Qualifications:
* CFA strongly preferred; CISI, IMC or equivalent professional qualifications also considered.

* Strong communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.
* Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment.
* High integrity, disciplined work ethic, and strong attention to detail.
* Flexibility regarding travel between the UK and Dubai.
